Overview: As the President at TRNC, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our business within the political and nonprofit industry. You will lead business development activities and work closely with senior leadership to identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth. This position requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a proven track record of success in business development within the political and nonprofit arena.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the firm's client base and revenue streams.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including political and nonprofit campaigns, advocacy organizations, government agencies, and other relevant entities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to assess market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and develop targeted strategies to capitalize on them.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and generate leads.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize business development processes, systems, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with the SVP of Operations to align business development and sales strategies with operational capabilities and future workforce planning.
- Support the SVP of Operations in optimizing processes and resources to meet business goals and scale operations for growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Political Science, or related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a demonstrated track
record of success in political consulting or related industry.
- A strong network of contacts within the political and nonprofit arena, including campaign managers, political
consultants, elected officials, and advocacy groups.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop innovative
solutions to drive business growth.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and delivering exceptional client satisfaction.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating contracts with high-value clients.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business development tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
