The successful candidate will oversee all financial activities, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and company stakeholders. Collaborating closely with the President/CEO and COO, you'll communicate daily, provide insights on financial performance, offer recommendations, and guide the company's financial direction.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to optimize profitability.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk. Implement strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard the company's financial assets.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with external parties such as banks, insurance brokers, carriers, and other financial institutions. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for banking services, insurance policies, and financing arrangements. Collaborate with external partners to optimize financial processes and maximize value for the company.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs and investment opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow efficiency and minimize financing costs.
- Capital Management: Evaluate capital investment opportunities, including acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion initiatives. Conduct financial due diligence, financial modeling, and risk analysis to support investment decisions.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and standards applicable to the electronics recycling and resale industry. Liaise with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to address compliance requirements.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and board of directors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with business goals and drive sustainable growth.
- Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of three direct reports, including a Controller, Accountant, and Office Administrator. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture by setting clear expectations and providing mentorship and development opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive.
- Robust understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices
- Technologically adept, with advanced experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and strong organizational skills.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
