Division President

Position Summary  

The Division President reports to the President/Chief Executive Officer of Wynne Transportation Holdings, LLC and is responsible for the identification of key customer decision-making prospects in target industrial markets; generated through existing relationships, intelligence-gathering, market research, customer interaction, and participation in relevant seminars and trade shows.   In addition, you will lead the development, implementation, and successful execution of business contracts and custom geographic diversification, along with the expansion of core competencies.   

You will also manage the operating company’s day-to-day operating activities, including expense, cost and margin control; and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management.  The Division President is responsible for managing the hands-on operational aspects of the company.  Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of company, the Division President along with the President/CEO provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively operate the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

Responsibilities 

Direct company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.  

• Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.  

• Establish the performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies for senior management.  

• Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company services.  

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, administrative and legal requirements including promoting a safety-first culture to support overall business objectives and plans.  

• Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies and objectives.  

Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a transportation organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company. 
Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives as well as achieving operating Key Performance Indicators. 
Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company. 
Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective operating strategies and processes. 
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of our organization. 
Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program. 
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company. 
Successful management of safety and maintenance resources to support company operations.

Requirements

Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.  
Solid working knowledge of budgeting, operating plans, and strategic planning. 
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.   
At least 10 years of experience, with 5 in an executive level position, such as manager or vice president. 
Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements of a transportation company is a plus.
