Position Summary

Responsible for directing and overseeing all financial activities of the corporation including preparation of current financial reports as well as pro-formas, summaries and forecasts for future business growth and business ventures. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company.

Essential Functions

Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the fiscal function and performance.
Participate in the development of the corporation’s plans and programs.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs, strategies, and regulatory actions.
Act as an advisor from the financial perspective on any contract into which the corporation may enter.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the corporation, including evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, and other strategies.
Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the CEO, Managing Partner and the Board.
Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
Manage all banking and cash management functions including ensuring cash resources are available for daily operations and business development, maximizing return on assets, managing outside banking, deposit, lending, equity and shareholder relationships.
Responsible for tax planning and reporting, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the CEO, Managing Partner, and the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
Continually improve the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets, including providing financial advice and knowledge.
Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
Analyze company financial operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need attention.
Direct, evaluate, integrate, with the company’s administrative functions and offices.
Manage subordinate supervisor(s) and retain responsibility for the overall direction, and coordination of these employees.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the corporation’s policies and procedures.
Manage various personnel functions for direct staff including, but not limited to hiring, merit recommendations, and vacation schedules. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as deemed appropriate.

Physical Demands

Requires prolonged standing or sitting and frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity necessary for operation of basic office equipment such as a keyboard, calculator, telephone, and copier. Requires hearing and eyesight in normal acuity range. Working in office environment. Required ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours.

Credentials Desired

Experienced leader and financial executive with appropriate industry experience, preferable in the healthcare field. Energetic, forward thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus. Well organized and self-directed individual who is “politically savvy” and a team player. Intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor. Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information. Five to Ten years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning. CPA preferred but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
