About the Company: Our firm has been exclusively retained to find a Chief Financial Officer for a closely held non-automotive service business in the Ann Arbor area. Our client conducts business throughout the United States, and has a headcount around 150. This is a hybrid role reporting directly to the President. We are ideally targeting a CPA with 10+ years of accounting experience to go with leadership and analytical skills. We are specifically looking for candidates that have creativity to continuously improve margins, and flexibly address needs and run the accounting and finance team for the foreseeable future.

Responsibilities:

Lead the accounting team and finance function, including month end, quarterly and annual reporting
Enhance, build and develop accounting processes and procedures, as well as internal controls
Oversee the preparation of financial reporting packages and monthly board decks
Manage and coordinate the annual external audit to ensure full compliance with US GAAP
Assist with income tax compliance, liaise with external advisors and oversee systems implementations and integrations

Requirements and Skills:

Bachelor's degree absolutely required, and Master's degree is desired
CPA designation desired not required
10+ years of accounting and leadership experience
Executive presence and the ability to maintain relationships with the leadership team, external advisors and business constituents
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required
