Southeastern Civil Construction is on a mission to build the Emerald Coast’s premier construction team, performing civil work including grading, drainage, demolition, concrete, asphalt, sea walls, and more. SEC has a GC license in the state of FL, and we are in the process of attaining licensing in GA, AL & MS. The operations will be well-financed for growth, and the ownership group has extensive experience in commercial construction & maintenance, as well as fast-growth business strategy. The ideal candidate for the President role will be responsible for planning, coordinating & implementing all business objectives for the company and communicating updates to the ownership group. This will include oversight of employees, financial objectives, accounting & operations processes, safety standards, etc. The candidate will have strong, relevant experience in commercial & civil construction and will enjoy an entrepreneurial, high energy, fun environment as we ambitiously grow this venture from Destin to PCB and beyond!

Responsibilities

Oversight & execution of company objectives and accountability to the P&L and cash flow
Hiring, accountability, discipline, and termination oversight of the organization according to policy
Update the ownership group and direct reports on a regular basis
Coach and support team members & third party vendors with tasks you assign them
Manage fruitful relationships with direct reports, sub-contractors and key customers
Develop, maintain, and improve company policies & procedures to support business goals & values
Maintain minimum levels of cash distributions as determined by the ownership group

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related business or construction field required
3+ years of management experience preferred
3+ years of civil construction experience preferred
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Displayed history of building & maintaining a book of business profitably
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong understanding of construction plans & mathematics
Highly motivated and able to work independently and on a team
Flexible schedule & willing to travel
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
