Job Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Finance Director

Salary: 300,000 USD / Annual

Location: Los Angeles, USA

We area leading retail company poised for significant growth and market expansion. As we prepare for our Initial Public Offering (IPO) on a major stock exchange in the USA, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team.

As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the retail company during this critical phase of our growth. You will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with other senior executives to drive financial performance, investor relations, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the company's long-term objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
Research and interpret complex accounting standards and regulations (IFRS)
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, SEC filings, and compliance with all regulatory requirements for our IPO and as a publicly traded company.
Serve as the primary liaison with investors, analysts, and financial institutions, effectively communicating the company's financial performance and strategic initiatives.
Manage capital structure, fundraising activities, and optimize the company's financial resources to support growth initiatives.
Implement robust risk management policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting to provide insights into financial performance and support decision-making.
Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, conducting financial due diligence and integrating acquired entities.
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
Background experience from NASDAQ.
Deep understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with experience in SEC reporting and IPO readiness.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
Ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall business strategy while managing day-to-day financial operations.
