The CFO will be a key strategic member of the senior management team and have the opportunity to meaningfully impact the operations and financial strategy of the business starting day one. As a “hands-on” position, the CFO will be expected to operate with a lean team. The CFO will need to hit the ground running, be largely self-directed, team-oriented, and have an entrepreneurial spirit to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Key responsibilities will include managing and improving all aspects of financial reporting, financial operations, and providing other senior managers and the Board with the strategic and financial analysis and recommendations required to make critical business decisions. The CFO must have the ability to develop a financial reporting package that tells the story of how the business is doing and where the opportunity for improvements are. Over time, the CFO may have the opportunity to take responsibility for the IT, HR and contracting functions, and will also be called on to lead certain operational initiatives and process improvements-

The objective is to grow the Company to a $100+ million company within the next five years through organic growth and acquisitions.

This CFO position presents a dynamic opportunity to take the reins of the Company’s critical finance and accounting functions and have an impact across operations.

Role and Responsibilities

10-15+ years of relevant experience
Experience in an entrepreneurial middle-market Company without the central resources of a large corporation, ideally in a private equity or venture backed environment.

▪ Industry work experience in construction, general contractor or technician field service industry is preferred

▪ Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance (an MBA is a plus)

CPA with experience at a “Big 4” or comparable regional firm preferred
Operating experience a plus, ideally as a CFO. Candidate will be operationally minded and be a true partner with the Co-Founders.
Preferably with experience in tech-enabled business services. Familiarity with small and mid-size businesses and enterprise accounts a plus
Experience leading and integration acquisitions is a plus
Experience in IT/ERP implementation and optimization a plus but not required
Experience implementing and using business analytics software (i.e. Tableau) a plus

OTHER

The position will be based in Houston, Texas. The CFO will be eligible for a competitive base salary, incentive bonus and possible equity participation.
